2020 INFINITI Q60 vs 2019 INFINITI Q60

Serving Novi, MI

A luxury coupe that borrows its styling from the Q50 sedan, the INFINITI Q60 presents a sleek, appealing posture that will excite all who desire a well-designed model that comes loaded with standard features. The 2019 model got a slight refresh and offered more standard convenience features than in previous years, but the 2020 Q60 receives a more comprehensive overhaul. The new-generation infotainment system is now standard across the trim lineup, and the interior materials have been upgraded. However, both the 2019 and 2020 models are worth looking into because the powertrains are the same, and the safety equipment offered hasn’t changed.

A turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine powers all trims of the 2019 and 2020 INFINITI Q60. The 3.0t Pure and 3.0t Luxe trims to produce a total of 300 horsepower, and transmission is seven-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is optional. The Red Sport 400 gets its own version of the V6, and this one pumps out 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. The Q60 can be ordered with the optional Direct Adaptive Steering system. The 2020 models don’t receive a suspension or shock upgrade, but both the 2019 and 2020 models have powerful, quick-responding brakes.

Regardless of engine choice, the Q60 promises rapid acceleration and superior handling. The Red Sport 400 has steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, making it easier for the driver to handle this trim with its more powerful V6 engine.

The sleek roofline is what sets this model apart from its near cousin, the four-door Q50 sedan. Both the 2019 and 2020 models offer different wheel sizes depending on the trim chosen. The 3.0t Pure rides on 19-inch wheels and the Red Sport 400 has 20-inch wheels. The 3.0t Pure has LED headlights and foglights as well as heated exterior mirrors. The 3.0t Luxe adds a sunroof, and the Red Sport 400 comes with performance tires. This trim is also eligible for a special package that adds on adaptive headlights with automatic high beams. For 2020, buyers can choose the Edition 30 version that comes with unique exterior paint color choices and exterior accents. All in all, this is an awe-inspiring model to look at, and it exudes the feeling of luxury and status when it’s viewed from near or from afar.

The 2019 model comes standard with keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, and a dual-touchscreen interface. The base trim gets simulated leather upholstery, two USB ports, and a six-speaker sound system. Bluetooth is also included. The 2.0t Luxe has a 13-speaker Bose stereo with HD radio, and it’s eligible for several package add-ons that include heated front seats and driver-seat memory settings. It and the Red Sport 400 come with the InTouch emergency communications services. Leather upholstery is optional on the 3.0t Luxe and standard on the Red Sport 400. The 2020 INFINITI Q60 gets some upgrades, including smartphone app integration as standard. The 2020 models also get a newly designed dual-screen infotainment system that has a few more menu features than what one gets on the 2019 models.
