2020 INFINITI QX50 vs 2019 INFINITI QX50

Serving Novi, MI

At Suburban INFINITI of Novi, our customers need to learn about the improvements that have been made to our latest models before they decide which vehicle to head home in. The QX50 is a remarkable compact luxury crossover SUV that boasts a contemporary, sporty façade. The 2019 model introduced the QX50’s second generation, and this significant step forward brought exciting updates from front to rear. The 2020 QX50 exhibits these improvements and introduces a few new features to the mix. Through careful review of the 2019 QX50 and the 2020 version, you can quickly decide which model year is an excellent fit for your needs.

The 2019 and 2020 versions are both available in five trims, and these are the Pure, the Luxe, the Sensory, the Essential and the Autograph. For all of these trims, front-wheel drive is standard, and you can upgrade to an all-wheel-drive variation. The QX50 for both model years is available with one powertrain, and this is a 2.0-liter variable compression turbo, an inline-4 gas engine that serves you 268 horsepower. It comes with the continuously variable transmission, multiple driving modes, rack electric power steering with optional direct adaptive steering in select trims, anti-lock brakes, and other equipment.

The exterior design of the INFINITI QX50 is unchanged between the 2019 and 2020 model years. Its modern styling is defined by a proud, sporty profile that begins with a flat nose, and that flows across the subtle curves of the hood and roof. The LED headlights and taillights have sharp points that carry to the sides to highlight the SUV’s modern styling. A side air vent, chrome molding around the side windows, a roof-mounted spoiler and a shark-fin antenna also elevate the QX50’s style for both years.

The primary differences between the 2019 and 2020 QX50 models are found inside the vehicle. For 2020, all trims carry Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard equipment. The center stack features two color display screens that enable you to access multiple controls at the same time. Also, some of the safety features that were optional in select trims for the 2019 model year are now standard equipment in the 2020 QX50. Depending on the QX50 trim that you are drawn to, your crossover SUV may come with leatherette or leather interior, a Bose Premium Series audio system, an automatic temperature control system, heated and cooled front seats, memory settings for the steering wheel and driver’s seat, a reclining rear row, paddle shifters accessed through the heated steering wheel, a power sunroof, welcome lighting and other items.
