2021 INFINITI QX50 LUXE vs 2021 INFINITI QX50 ESSENTIAL

Serving Novi, MI

Is the INFINITI QX50 the compact luxury crossover that will live up to your high expectations? For 2021, the QX50 is available in five trim levels. The options are the PURE, the LUXE, the ESSENTIAL, the SENSORY, and the AUTOGRAPH from the base trim level up. This model year’s LUXE trim adds a few ProAssist and ProActive features as standard equipment. While the INFINITI QX50 LUXE has bold appeal, you may be wondering if you should step up to the ESSENTIAL trim level.

Performance

For 2021, the QX50 LUXE and ESSENTIAL trim levels both receive 268 horsepower from the same powertrain. This is a VC-Turbo I-4, 2.0-liter engine mated with a continuously variable transmission. These trims also come with front-wheel drive, multiple driving modes, stabilizer bars, a rear multilink suspension, and a front MacPherson strut with shock absorbers and coil springs.

Appearance

Across the exterior, the 2021 INFINITI QX50 LUXE and ESSENTIAL trim levels are identical from a design standpoint. However, there are a few differences in exterior equipment. The QX50 expresses its elite status and confidence with its gracefully contoured sides and sharp accents. These trims have LED foglamps, signature LED headlights, a power sunshade for the panoramic sunroof, aluminum roof rails, privacy glass, and powered exterior mirrors. The higher-level ESSENTIAL trim adds heated side mirrors with optional reverse-tilt functionality and black accents across the exterior.

Features

Likewise, the LUXE and ESSENTIAL trims have many shared features and a few noticeable differences. Shared equipment includes push-button ignition, a dual-zone climate control system, a 12-volt power outlet, in-vehicle wireless internet connectivity, leatherette material, an INFINITI Touch system, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and other premium features. The ESSENTIAL trim adds optional leather material, optional memory functions for the driver’s position, aluminum accents, and a few additional optional and standard features.
